The Original Easter Egg
How It Started
Searching for Joey Tribbiani brought up a pizza icon beside his Knowledge Panel, the info box next to the search results. Google added it for the 25th anniversary of Friends.
What It Did
Food appeared across the screen before two hands reached in from the sides to collect it. Joey’s voice accompanied the animation with “Joey doesn’t share food!”
Impact and Reach
The pizza was Joey’s contribution to Google’s Friends anniversary set. Each character had a different icon and a short scene tied to their role in the sitcom.
Its Discontinuation
Like the rest of Google’s Friends anniversary Easter eggs, Joey’s pizza later disappeared from Search. The whole anniversary set was gone by August 2025 at the latest.
