The Original Easter Egg
How It Started
Google Search launched its BLACKPINK Easter egg in February 2026. Google Korea featured it alongside IVE and BTS in a March post about K-pop Easter eggs.
The effect accompanied the group’s DEADLINE mini album and “JUMP.” Searching for “블랙핑크” revealed a heart button that activated pink fog and black-and-pink hearts.
What It Did
A heart button at the bottom of the results page triggered pink fog and floating black-and-pink hearts.
As the sequence progressed, the results briefly swayed rhythmically. The effect could be closed and replayed.
Impact and Reach
Google Korea presented BLACKPINK, IVE, and BTS as examples of its K-pop Search effects. BLACKPINK’s version used the group’s black-and-pink palette and added movement to the results themselves.
Its Discontinuation
The BLACKPINK Easter egg left Google Search around May 2026.
The Restored Experience
What’s Different Here
As in the original, tapping the heart makes the search results themselves sway, turning the familiar links into part of the BLACKPINK animation.
The Easter Egg Experience
Click the button above to open the restored results page, then tap the heart button at the bottom to bring in the pink fog. Keep tapping to clear the fog and send waves of black-and-pink hearts up through the page, with the results themselves swaying as you tap.
To start over, press the close button, then tap the same heart again.
How to Try It
- Click the button above to open the restored BLACKPINK results page.
- Tap the heart button at the bottom to cover the results in pink fog.
- Keep tapping to clear the fog.
- Continue tapping to send black-and-pink hearts upward in waves.
- Watch the results sway with your taps.
The sequence is silent: its rhythm comes from the moving results and your taps. Closing the effect clears the fog and hearts and resets the sequence.
Final Thoughts
The search results become part of the BLACKPINK effect, swaying with your taps as black-and-pink hearts rise through the page.
